Lorenz - Director Harold Burlingame - Director Carlyle Butcher - Director Orvia E. Hubbell - Director Del Krulikoski - Clerk Superintendent Thia ia the Space Age with ita demanda for highly-trained personnel in ajA fields of endeavor. I believe it could alao be called an age of aurvival. At stake ia our democratic way of life with ita various freedoms that we all cherish. The challenge for all students, regardless of ability, ia to pledge an all-out endeavor to train themselves to the fullest extent. To some, thia will mean additional training at the college level, to others a career in the service, and to many, technical training. Job opportunities for high school graduates without additional training are almost non-existent. Plan on further training and remember you must do your part in this age of Space and Survival. Office Staff Joan Schiller, Ceil Byers, Sherry Duren, Shirlee Names, Karen Sanford, Jerri Sugarbaker. Marian Weide Principal Hie scientific knowledge of the high school student of 1965 will be almost completely obsolete by 1975• In ten years three-fourths of the workers will be making products not yet developed. Seventy percent of the scientists ever known since the beginning of mankind will be alive and working in the next decade. This overwhelming advancement of scientific knowledge will affect each student's ability to hold a job, to understand his environment, to prepare his children for the future. Tour continuing educational progress is now more important than ever. Babe Ruth often said, I always try to follow through. Stopping on third base adds no more to the score than striking out. Work hard, be courageous, and do not stop on third base. 7 Social Science Vocation Language Arts Enma S. Herrin English 11 E. Loreen Allen Home Economics Dorothy L. By the time they are Seniors, they have learned that once the sound and fury is over, a warm and likable person with a genuine interest in young people has emerged. Mr. Ziegner first came to Tahoma in 1952. Since then his newspapers have won national recognition and many of his students have gone on to edit their college newspapers. During one summer the Wall Street Journal sent him to the University of Oregon for a special seminar. The 1965 annual staff proudly dedicates this annual to a real friend, W.A.Z. Service Club 64 Tabooin's Service Club members are students who are willing to work for better organization of games, plays9 and dances. This year's club has many hard working members who are earning their plaque points easily. The membership9 nearly 60 in number9 is the biggest Service Club Tahoma has ever had. Gary Lindenmeyer9 president; Angelo Allard, vice-pres.
