The long road to graduation is ending. As we look back it is with regret that we didn’t fully appreicate those carefree years at the time we lived them. We started out enthusiastically enough in our Freshman year with twenty-nine members. A little of this enthusiasm disappeared after the Seniors sponsored the Freshman Initiation party on Nov. 15, 1949. Still we forgave them and gave a return party in Feb. 1950. A class picnic at Lake Wilderness closed the year for us. The end of every school year since has been highlighted by a class picnic. Class officers for the year were: President, Ronald Iverson; Vice President, Marianne Sandhei; Treasurer, Beverly Dziedzic; Sargeant at Arms, Ray Prescott. Helping us over many rough spots was our adviser, Mr. Riffe. As we began our Sophomore year the members numbered twenty-six. This was one of our busiest years. At the All School Carnival our contribution was a dart booth which made the most money for the school. For this we received a prize from the S.B. A. Our skating party held at Lake Wilderness, Dec. 6, 1950 was a huge success. Our class was well represented in the All School Play, Grandad Steps Out . Jack Downing, Chuck Berry, Carole Patterson and Marianne Sandhei were cast in roles. Our officers for this year were President, Beverly Dziedzic; Vice President, Paul Woodard; Secretary, Dolly Grady; Treasurer, Don Fisk; Mr. Riffe again bravely agreed to be our Adviser. We returned twenty-four strong in our Junior year. Our outstanding event of the year was the Junior-Senior Ball held April 25, 1952. The Theme was April In Paris. The effect was electrifying and those of us who attended will never forget it. It will be something to tell our grandchildren. Our Junior, Chuck Berry, was elected King of the Ball. Again our class was well represented in the All School Play, Arsenic and Old Lace. Ronald Iverson, Chuck Berry, Melvin Mooers, Don Fisk, Edna Casterline and Marianne Sandhei brought honor to our class. Our officers for this year were: President Chuck Berry; Vice President, Don Fisk; Secretary, Marianne Sandhei; Treasurer, Virginia Smalley; Miss Borgeson was our Adviser. Eighteen hardy survivors returned to begin the Senior year. The Senior-Junior Prom was held March 20th, 1953. We danced to the theme of Moonlight and Roses which will be in our memories for years to come. For weeks we worked diligently on The Perfect Idiot and produced it successfully, April 17. Then came Graduation. Thus the curtain falls on one part of our lives. What lies ahead no one can predict. Perhaps in one of our seemingly modest little group the seed of greatness lies sleeping. Only time will tell. And so goodbye to school days at TaHoMa. At least the years we spent here are among the happiest we will ever know. 16
