J- I Track Team The school year of l955-56 saw the addition of track as a spring sport for the Junior High. Dean Wadley, Buddie Moore, Weldon Linville, James Wills, Coach, Kenneth Thornton, Chester Phillips, Dayton Mounts, Billy Mays, George Gritts, Bruce Dawes and Bill Berry formed the nucleus for the first team which portici- pated in the Little 5 Conference and track meet schedule. Weldon broke a meet record in the Muskogee lnvitationol Jr. Hi Track Meet. He ran the 660 yard dash in l:3'l.6 winning over contestants from seventeen schools. Baseball Team 1955-56 also saw the retum of baseball as a spring sport for the Junior High after a one year la off Russell Hays, Floyd Candy, Jerry Smith, Jerry Christie, Elmer Coursey, Lloyd Candy, Maxi er, Tom Ward, Joe Baker, Gary Fisher, Floyd Hathcoot, Dallis Chapman, Herbert Dallis, Nick Sunday, Paul Hogner, George Neel, Wendell McDaniel, Harvey Chaffin, Paul Gladd under the supervision of nny Chandler, assistant coach and Homer Jones, coach.
