s S3151 Coach Dobbins planning strategy with two key basketball boys, Jim Rogers and Joe Kirkwood. As we look over this past year of our school life, the summary of its highlights would not be complete without an adequate recognition of one of the forces which has made our life at Tahle- quah High memorable. The athletic department has nobly served the school in two distinct ways. First, it has helped those youth who havebeen participants in its sports. Being a necessary factor to a person's happiness, health and a strong physical condition have been strongly stressed throughout the program. Also the ability to co-operate with others and the realization of the ioy it brings, the ability of fair play, of training and discipline are lessons learned by our athletes. Secondly, it has played an important role in bringing a united spirit to the school. Who could ever take away the moments when Tahlequah High, as a group, cheered its teams to victory or accepted proudly the trophies of courage, sta- mina, and citizenship won by its sportsmen? Yes, as always in the past, the athletic seg- ment of this school year has been a vital one and much applause is in order for the coaches, parti- cipants, and supporters for an outstanding per- formance.
