s Chaibks Symbolizing the big step into the future which the semors are about to take are the class officers: Carolyn Cochran, treasurer, Shirley Burk, secretary, Bill Bliss, Vice President: and Frank Winton, President. For twelve years, these upperclassmen have trod the long iourney through public school and now have come to the milestone in every progressive student's life, the embarking into the new, outer world. ln about as many years, the seniors of today will be the leaders of tomorrow and the success of that leadership will be partly insured by the gains made in the humble halls ofTahlequah High. The success of the class of '56 during their sophomore year was perhaps only moderate. But now, however, the seniors hold a distinct position over that of their other classmates. While their past mistakes will be beneficial as a footlight of caution for the lowerclassmen's progress, their achievements, serving as a starlight of challenge, will be treasured much more. With graduation, all seniors may understandably look back on their last year and whole high school career with a moistened eye and grateful heart, realizing the advancements they have made because of the high associations they had. As they march into the future, having had Tahlequah High in which to grow, the class of '56 may well have great expectations indeed!
