After recognizing the need for our school and four others in this communityjfafcplan fin theic,forrr1Qof,,iaj ,put before the Hamilton voters by the Board ioflilfducation. These voters said yes and arrangements were made right away to begin construc- tion on our school. ln the passing years many problems were faced by those responsible, but when fall of l96O came the Taft doors were open, waiting for us, the first students of Taft to enter. This first year was rough going sometimes, but each student strived to help build a better Taft for the future years. Many times our hopes were downcast but the spark of Tiger Spirit was always present, helping Taft to move forward. We have accepted the trust and responsibility of this building, and have carried it out to the best of our ability in social activities, sports, and scholarship. To the future Taft students we entrust this school with the significance it was given to us.
