The student most representative of Taft will be recognized by his acceptance and practice on these ideas. PLEDGE: I Pledge that: 1. I will have the utmost respect for God, my Creator, the Author of all my rights, by giving Him at all times, the first place in my life. 2. I will recognize and respect all those holding authority because I am aware that respect for authority, which comes ultimately from God, is absolutely necessary for peace, order and progress among men. 3. I will seek to develop a worthy character by striving for the highest ideals and values in life. 4. I will respect the rights of my fellow students at all times because I know that this is the only way true freedom is preserved in a democracy. 5.
