The Sh1lp's Store group maintains a retail store, soda fountain, laundry, barber shop, tailor shop and cobbler shop, providing articles and services necessary for the health, comfort and morale of personnel in day-to-day living aboard ship and to pro- vide through accrued proiits, a source of funds for Welfare and recreation of the crew. The Commissary group is charged with the responsibility of providing enlisted personnel with a Well balanced diet by proper menu planning, preparation and serving of food. l al-Lug..

-3 D VI ION The work of the Stewards and Cooks is an important factor in the morale of any Wardroom. For this reason, and also for the good of the ship as a Whole, it is essential that they keep the compartments, rooms, and gear assigned to them in top condition. The men of S-3 DIViSIoN have a right to be proud of their performance throughout this past cruise. They have continually done their utmost to preserve the traditions of the Stewards.
