LCDR Carl Newman Supply Officer SUPPLY SUPPLY is just what the name implies. This department has on hand everything imaginable and sometimes the unimaginable-whatever the item, SUPPLY must be able to order, stock, account for, and distribute it. The procurement, serving and even the preparation and storage of food is SUPPLY's responsibility. To serve almost a ton of food a day and make it taste like something more than a bare statistic is no game for amatuers. Sailors enjoy pay call second to no other. Supply supplies the cash. The DISBURSING DIVISION of Supply is indeed very popular. After being paid, of course, the sailors love to spend their hard earned cash. To help them string the process out, SUPPLY'S SALES DIVISION 0667 a number of things from 'gedunks to four-hundred day clocks at rock bottom prices. SUPPLY DEPARTMENT consists of five efficient divisions, S1, S2, S2-MC, S2-SS and S3. If there is a single title to bestow upon these division's many activities and their personal, it could Well be this: service-efficient--capable--and devoted. If you need it-Supply has either got it or will get it for you--that is, if your division can afford it. ENS Carlile D. Crutcher Disbursing Officer ' rr. 'gre' ,vi ww., rg. Q ,2 fb.. CWO-W3 James M.
