May this book help those who are not acquainted with this school to gain an insight into the values, ideals, and activities of Tabor Col- lege. Like-wise, may students and faculty who have shared in the joys of this school year find this record a valuable complement to their wealth of memory. Years hence, as Taborites of the year '52-'53 oc- casionally muse through these pages, they will relive their school experiences, many of which marked great advancement in their process of maturation. , if .i QI Xl -' ' f' 1 V. 5 A 4. 41122. ,li DR. P. C. HIEBERT 'llllllllflllllll One of the most well-known and beloved figures among Mennonite people today is Dr. P. C. Hiebert. His pioneering spirit and capable leadership have been effective in giving the Mennonite Brethern Conference a greater sphere of influence. Always looking ahead to the future Dr. Hiebert put into action the phrase that embodies the theme of this annual-- Building For Tomorrow. Dr. Hiebert was a creative leader in many respects. Educationally he pioneered by being the first Mennonite Brethern to graduate with the A. B. degreep he was co-founder of Tabor Collegeg twenty-six of his fifty teaching years he dedicated to Tabor, besides having served the college as president. Since the founding of Tabor College, its welfare has been his vital and incessant interest. Certainly in service to man and in devotion to God, Dr. Hiebert has set an example for all Christians to follow. May we aspire to attain his degree of enthusiasm in Building For Tomorrow. As a token of the gratefulness and appreciation of the people he has so humbly and able served, this annual is dedicated to Dr. P. C. Hiebert. 5
