Last Will and Testimony I, Becky Caudle, being of sound mind and body do hereby leave my hatchet to Amie Little, because she likes to be as free as I do. I leave my ability to talk inclass to Heather Frick. I leave my quiet sneeze to Tony Mangum so that he will always stay alert in class. I leave my ability to haye a nickname to Phyllis Hill. I, Jimmy Counts, being of sound mind and body do hereby leave my ability to not really care about Physics to whomever will take it. I leav e my locker to someone who can keep it in better shape than I. As a matter of fact, I leave everything I have, except Heather, to whomever will take it. I, Kevin Herring, after 10 years of trying to be of sound mind, do hereby leave my farewell to anyone concerned with Tabernacle Christian. The rest I plan to take with me. I am sure I will need it. I, Danny Jordan, being of sound mind and body do hereby leave my ability to be late for class to Ken Harbin. My favorite seat in A.C.E. Study Hall, I leave to my son, Steve Funderburk. My comb I leave to Mr. Morris. He seems to always need one. My good grades I leave to Kevin Gordon. I, Suzanne Leonard, being of sound mind and body do hereby leave my wonderful grades to my sister, Rebekah. I hope she puts them to better use than I did. To Marcie Griffin and Amy Tyson, I leave the anticipation of playing Southview again next year. To the whole school, I leave the blessings of God on you as you finish your wonderful high school years. Make sure they count for Him. I, Andi Moore, do hereby leave my perfect attendance record to Matt Simpson and my great ability to warm the bench during basketball season to DeWayne Moser and Stephen Leonard. My perfect average in Algebra, I leave to Joy Baker, and to all the Juniors, I leave the Senior privileges I never received. I, Gina Preslar, being of sound mind and body, leave all my good times at T.C.S. to all underclassmen. To Heather Frick, I leave top locker 268 for her safety from falling books, test papers, garbage, moldy sandwiches, etc. To Steve Funderburk, Phil (Phyllis) Hill, Tony Manugm, and Tony Smith, I leave all my useable French and English notes so they will not have to look on other students’ papers during a quiz or test. I also leave to Mr. Sumner for his undying loyalty and devotion, a year’s supply of Turtle Wax and a cheesecloth to replace the comb he will not be using much longer! To Chas Griffin, I leave my fouling abilities and to Amie Little my ability to run laps for missed foul shots. To Marcie Griffin I leave my ability to “just think everything is too funny.” I, Carl Rainey, being of sound mind and body do hereby leave my ability to get in trouble to Scott Deputy. My good grades I leave to Rebekah Leonard. My favorite seat in A.C.E. study hall I leave to Doug Couick. I, Cindy Russell, being of sound mind and body do hereby leave my extraordinary ability to get to school on time to Michelle Griffin and Amie Little. To Mr. Sumner and Mrs. Caudle, I leave the memory of my ability to roam around the school without getting caught. I leave all the Senior privileges I never received to the Juniors. I, Ricky Starnes, being of sound mind and body do hereby leave all my Physics problems to the students of ’85. To Mangum, Ernie, and Phil, I leave all the meals at Hardee’s that they seem to enjoy. To Mr. Sumner and Mrs. Ball, I leaye my brother, Mi chael, to brighten up their days of teaching. 25

24 Senior Class History As we stroll down Memory’s Lane, a day back in 1980 comes to mind when twenty-four boys and girls embarked on a four year journey, destined to prove that they could survive the test of time. On that day, we began our journey through Tabernacle Christian School as green Freshmen. During the first year our class officers were: President, Ben Reeder; Vice President, Suzanne Leonard; Secretary, Becky Caudle; and Treasurer, Anna Huyett. We were honored to have Tammy Parker voted Parade Queen and Suzanne Leonard nominated to the Homecoming Court, both representing our class. The following year marked the second milestone of our journey. Homecoming representatives were Becky Caudle and Suzanne Leonard. Suzanne was also chosen to represent our school as this year’s Parade Queen. Officers were: President, Suzanne Leonard; Vice President, Danny Jordan; Secretary, Gina Preslar; and Treasurer, Kim Hill. 1982 marked a special year, one more and we would be seniors. This year everyone was excited about ordering their class rings and planning the Junior-Senior Banquet. The hardest of the two was probably deciding what to have put on our rings. We decided our Banquet would have a “Southern Illusion” theme, which proved to be very suc- cessful. One downfall; however, was getting to see the end of the Walt Disney Film, before we ever saw the beginning. This year we threw all of the responsibilities on Kenny Albertson and Suzanne Leonard; our President and his assis- tant. Our bookkeeper was Kevin Herring and our personal banker, Becky Caudle. Homecoming representatives were Becky Caudle and Gina Preslar. Representing our school in the parade was Becky Caudle. Drum Roll please! In 1983 our final milestone was before us. Our class population had decreased to ten. Some moved away, others changed schools, a couple even decided to stop and stay awhile. We were led this year by Presi- dent, Kevin Herring; Vice President, Becky Caudle. Our Secretary and Treasurer were Cindy Russell and Gina Preslar, respectively. We were honored to have Suzanne Leonard crowned Homecoming Queen. Becky Caudle and Gina Preslar also represented the court. The Class of ’84 would like to thank everyone involved in shaping the molds, which in turn have shaped our lives. The values which have been driven into our minds will forever remain a treasured part of our lives. All of us realize that after the tassels are crossed over and the caps fill the air, a new journey will begin. We ask for your prayers and remembrance as we embark on our journey through life.
