VARSITY CHEERLEADERS Kim Moser, Dee Dee Gill, Jennifer Bumgarner, Natasha Hearn, Michelle Long, Tammi Walker, Co-Captain: Sophia Wilson, Amy Ridley, Captain: Dana Jackson. Sponsor: Mrs. Eddie Riley. It hardly seems possible that another year has passed us by. I greatly appreciate those of you who have given your best and who have been dedicated and taken your responsibility seriously. We have not only had a good season, but we have also learned much about cheerleading. We say farewell to our one senior, Tammi. Always seek the Lord’s will in your life. To the rest of you, thanks for the good season; you all mean so much to me. Mrs. Riley : . 6 7 “We are de-ter-mined to win!” ‘We love our Conquerors! 43

JUNIOR VARSITY BOYS Matthew Reinhardt, Alex Holton, Larry McQuinn, Link Dellinger, Todd Hicks, Shawn Knight, Peter Teague, Karston Danner, Derrick Shook, Michael Reinhardt, Scott Skerjanec, Stephen Shook. Statisticians: Sonya Berry, Rhonda Shook. Coaches: Mr. Dan Kistler, Mr. Gerald Page. The J.V. boys had an excellent year in 1987-88, finishing the regular season at 10-2. Fellows, your hard work, hustle, and enthusiasm made you successful on the court. Coach Page and I are proud to be a part of such a fine team. We are especially proud of your Tournament Championship. We will miss greatly our seven freshmen who will be moving up to varsity next year, but we will enjoy watching as you continue to represent our school. As for our returnees, we are looking forward to great things ahead. Continue to work hard to achieve success. Coach Page and I thank you all for the enjoyable times we have had together. God bless you, and may you always live a life that is pleasing in His sight. Coach Kistler “There’s Derrick getting a nosebleed!” Five “super” subs!

Longfellow once said, “The race may not always go to the stronger or faster man, but will always go to the man who thinks he can.” This year’s team exemplifies that statement. We weren’t always the stronger or the faster team, but we showed the determination and the faith to succeed. With a 10-1-1 record, conference runner-up, and tour- nament championship, you proved that dedication and stamina always win out in the end. The most important achievement of this year’s team was the earning of the sportsmanship trophy. This trophy shows more than skill, more than a record, more than final scores; it shows a Christ-like testimony recognized by those whom you played. To my seniors — Brad, Jon, and Scott — the teams I have coached have been the richer because of you. We will greatly miss your leadership and love for what’s best. I love you and pray God’s best for your futures in His service. Coach Riley ¢ ain ta Captains: Jon Shook, Brad Hearn, Scott Jackson 44
