REBOUND and DEFENSE are truly the name of the game. Your “stick-to-it-tive-ness” and hard work really paid off. To move from third place in the conference to champions in the tourna- ment was a special treat. Thanks, you guys! It has been my sincere privilege to work with you again. Since I can’t seem to keep you fellows from graduat- ing, I wish the very best to Brad, Scott, and Jon as you continue to seek God’s will for your lives. VARSITY GIRLS’ BASKETBALL Beth Lipe, Valerie Turner, Noelle Smith, Rhonda Shook, Brenda Holcombe, Cheryl Eckard, Dawn Brawley, Dawn Cook, Angela — Eggers, Kathy Teague, Angie Skerjanec, April Johnson, Statistician: Sonya Berry. Coaches: Mr. Dan Kistler, Mr. Gerald Page, — Mr. Charlie Johnson. The 1987-88 season was a “dream come true” for the Lady Conquerors. After five years together (for most of © you), many hard practices, and multitudes of SUI- CIDES, our GOAL was accomplished. And what an accomplishment it was, beating two of the top teams in the state back to back to win the conference tourna- ment! Ladies, I cannot begin to describe the thrill it was for me to watch your tremendous performances this year. Your dependence on the Lord — without Whose help our championship would not have been possible — and your hard work, UNITY, and dedication were re- warded. It is very difficult to say “good-bye” to two fine se- niors. But, Dawn and Rhonda, God bless you. We love you and will greatly miss you both. As for those returning, continue your hard work. Your UNITY and dedication will make you champions in the future both on the court and off. Ladies, it has been a great honor for Coach Page, Coach Johnson, and me to work with you.
