God gave us music as a special gift from Him as a means of communicating spiritual truths and ideas as well as simply enjoying what He has provided. When students learn the value of good music and how to enjoy the best of musical literature, they are better able to communicate God’s truths to others and are themselves enriched spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Music is without a doubt one of the great motivators of today’s youth. We at Tabernacle Christian School seek to build in each student an appreciation for Godly Christian music as well as wholesome secular music. Participation in vocal music groups is one of the ways students become familiar with what good music is and how they can produce it and be a blessing and encouragement to fellow students and their own churches and communities. Success does not always mean winning the competitions or being “the best,” but it does mean doing your best and be- ing a blessing and encouragement to others and showing the love of Christ as we use our talents to glorify God Who gave us this wonderful gift.
