We shall be lights for Your glory, O Lord, Focusing our beams on the truth of Your Word. Spotlighting Calvary, Your saving grace, Till one day in heaven, we'll see Your face. We shall be lights for Your glory, dear Saviour, Not dim with poor conduct or misbehaviour. Doing our best, for this statement ts true: “The light that we shed is a reflection of You.’’ —Tammy Teague IN MEMORY CHARLES LYNN SUMNER STEPHEN CHRISTOPHER SUMNER We did not wake early for our first day in school, Nor hear teachers’ talk or any new rule. We did not sing or recite in a play, Nor did we do homework to end our long day. We need not wake ever for a new day of school; We live now with Him Who made every rule. We sing in a chorus of souls that are saved; We walk, run, and jump on roads He hath paved. Tell everyone on life’s road that you meet: His purpose is sure, and His will is complete. As sheep for His service, we followed His plan And now rest securely in His loving hand. —Tammy Teague steepness SNS BSS See Nine ABD sents amnion ea “ Rr DEDICATION Although this dedication is a surprise to MRS. KISTLER and MISS LEATHERMAN, we know it can be of no surprise to the student body. These ladies are the instruments that organize all the confused ideas of each senior class to produce beautiful yearbooks. Although they receive no praise for this service, they “stick it out”’ each year and cease to amaze us by their skill and creativity. We, the 1981 TRUMPET staff, thank you for your believing in Christian education and for your tender care and concern. We lovingly thank you for each of the memories you have helped to form at TCS. We sincerely express our appreciation for your faithfulness in God’s special ministry of education. OO LOY Ap PURER ADMINISTRATION Dr. Robert E. Settle Rev. The light slowly fades upon T.C.S. pathways; The spotlights are dimming on fun-filled school days. The lamp slowly brightens upon future days; We pray to You, Father, be the Guide of our ways. Be the Lighthouse when life’s waters are cold and stormy, And may each of us Say, “His will shines before me.” Help each of us saved ones to be Christians before Thee, And light someone’s path to share in Your glory. —T.
