Majorettes Display Bicentennial Costumes It was not an uncommon sight to see the Tabb High Majorettes practicing in the Commons after school every day from September through November. In fact, if you happened to be at Tabb during the summer, they had already begun long hard hours of work in July. Above all, the girls learned to work as a team and what true dedication to an activity could be. With Jackie Adams as Captain and Peggy Steele as Co-Captain, the girls complimented the band by participating in half-time shows, concerts, parades and pep rallies. Not to be outdone, the Majorettes added a patriotic stars and stripes costume to their many uniforms. These outfits were first used a t the joint half- time show with York High. The culminating event was a trip to Canada at Easter with the Tabb Tiger Band. Majorettes: Bottom Picture: Debbie Wilson, Cheryl Fields, Peggy Steele, Jackie Adams, Karen Markoff, Tracy Taylor, Pat Hiemstra. Majorettes 8 1
