SCA Increases Activities For Student Body The SCA really went all out this year to provide activities for the students. They started out the year with a slide-show presentation at orientation. The next big project was Homecoming. A bonfire, floats, homecoming queen and her court, along with a volkswagon march during half-time, highlighted the festivities. Films were shown the day before Halloween in the first Dracula Film Festival. November yielded a nightclub atmosphere as fellow students and teachers entenained the large crowd. With Christmas around the bend, a Christmas Ball was planned. This dance was the finale of a Christmas decoration contest. As the new year began, trees were planted to celebrate the Bicentennial. Cindy Behlmar was crowned Miss Tabb High in the pageant held in February. In celebration of the Bicentennial an assembly brought to light our nation’s 200th birthday that we honor this year. Excitement was paramount as a dance marathon was sponsored by SCA for the benefit of the Virginia Association for Retarded Citizens. Over $2000 was colleaed to go to this worthy cause. A Sadie Hawkins dance was the highlight of Sadie Hawkins day. Finally the women were put in charge. New officers were elected, and took over their offices to organize a Silent Film Festival. In conclusion, the SCA thanks you for your cooperation and hopes next year will be a tremendous success. Top Right: Chris Luke, President. Middle Row: Jane Petty, Vice-President; Susie Bieri, Treasurer; Susie Irwin, Secretary. Front Row: Billy Doughtery, Parliamentarian; Bruce Barbeau, Reponer; Steve Luke, Chaplain. 74 SCA
