The Best Of Broadway I I I I ! The Best of Broadway combined the talents of Tabb’s theatre an and music students to present this year’s musical. Performing both familiar and new material. Best of Braodway featured the dynamic and persuasive singing of Richard Breen and Kathy Blevins. Pianist Tim Rowe showed a command of the eighty-eights, uncommon to a high school student. Recovering from a momentary fainting spell, Rowe summoned himself to the call, ' the show must go on!’ to give the performance of his life. The audience was stunned by direaor Marian Smith’s typically innovative staging. True to her past, Ms. Barbara Zalumas devoted countless hours, with Tom Smith and Tom Freeman’s unusually capable assistance. Saturday, March 28, 1976 was a memorable evening for many people. The Miss Tabb High Pageant displayed the spirit of the Bicentennial year through the theme, America the Beautiful.” Miss Tabb High 19 ' 5, Teresa Robbins and Senior Bruce Cunningham MCd the occasion. The tension heightened as the twelve contestants were introduced. The group danced to an appropriate song 1 Am Woman,” in addition to performing their individual talent. Other entertainment included Calvin Shakespeare Perkins and the Getdown People, Serenity and a comedy skit by Terri and Bruce. At a climatic moment the five finalists were chosen. They were Melody Hedrick, Donna Nuckols. Amy Shiffett, Kathy Rhodes and Cindy Behlmar who ' Was crowned Miss Tabb High. Cindy was also chosen Miss Congeniality by her fellow classmates.
