Wrestlers Roll On . . . Under the leadership of Coach Willard Hunt, the Tabb Wrestlers had their best season ever. After a slow start, the squad rolled off nine straight victories to finish with a 10-3 record — and a tie for third place. In the District tournament, the matmen placed three in th e finals and Dennis Pearce became Tabb’s first District champion. The Tigers third-place tournament showing was also highlighted by the presentation of the H. Webb Sportsmanship Award to junior Mel Barbee. The total team strength was shown in the average score of 39- 14. The wrestlers also posted two shutouts — the first in the teams history — and held state champion Menchville to under 30 points. Back Row: Jeff Pleasants, Ben Spencer, John Bowman, Mike Beasley, Tom Kubesh, Russell Hook, Fee Griffin. The 1975-76 Junior Varsity Wrestling season was climaxed by a viaory over the York Falcons. Other Meets saw the Tigers make marked improvement, especially at certain weight classes. Outstanding prospects were Peter and Tom Kubesh, wrestling at 126 and 185, respectively, Tim Stutler at 138, John Bowman at 155 and Mike Baker at 167.
