I Secretaries Keep Tabb Running Smoothly Contrary to what most people think, a secretary’s day consists of more than just taking shorthand, typing letters, and answering telephones, especially if they happen to be employed at Tabb High. Mrs. M. Fox, (TOP RIGHT) is secretary of Guidance and handles the registration of new students, transcripts and correspondence. As attendance secretary, Mrs. D. Burcher, (TOP LEFT) takes care of attendance, textbooks and is secretary to Mr. Markoff. Serving as bookkeeper and receptionist as well as secretary to Mr. Cherry are the responsibilities of Mrs. J. Allamby, (BOTTOM LEFT) secretary in the general office. Mrs. Barnes, (BOTTOM RIGHT) is secretary to Mr. Miller. Her duties include keeping the school rolls up to date, finances, and reports. 14 I 16 Secretaries

Providing sound leadership and unending dedication to their students, Assistant Principals, Mr. Ed Markoff and Mr. Charles Cherry cooperated in facilitating the many varied school functions at Tabb. Among other responsibilities, Mr. Markoff served as Athletic Director and Mr. Cherry as Activities Director. The 73-74 school session furnished an opportunity for the concerned administrators to work with many first time events at Tabb High and present a variety of effective programs to fulfill all student body needs. Guidance Channels Students Abilities Helping to guide students along the right tracks, the Guidance Department has played a large role in the two years that Tabb has been opened. The counselors not only did the usual straightening out of schedules, but took it upon themselves to coordinate trade oriented assemblies. Mrs. W. Luck, (TOP LEFT) served as head of the department as well as counselor to the sophomores. The advising and dealing with scheduling problems of the juniors was left with Mrs. R. Wyche, (TOP RIGHT). Mr. G. Haase (BOTTOM LEFT) was bogged down with sending senior transcripts as counselor to the graduating class. Mrs. A. Cook (BOTTOM RIGHT) saw to it that the freshman class got started on the right foot. I Guidance 17
