Providing sound leadership and unending dedication to their students, Assistant Principals, Mr. Ed Markoff and Mr. Charles Cherry cooperated in facilitating the many varied school functions at Tabb. Among other responsibilities, Mr. Markoff served as Athletic Director and Mr. Cherry as Activities Director. The 73-74 school session furnished an opportunity for the concerned administrators to work with many first time events at Tabb High and present a variety of effective programs to fulfill all student body needs. Administrators Guide Student Growth The 73-74 school year brought quite a change in the operation of Tabb High. Because of the casual atmosphere created by the structure, students found it easy to forget that they were in a school rather than Grand Central Station. As a means of reminding them, Mr. Richard B. Miller, in his second year as principal of Tabb, found it necessary to instigate preventive measures. Breaking away from some of his liberal ideas of running the school, Mr. Miller called upon the good ol’ tardy bell” to eliminate last minute stragglers. Other problems were taken care of through this addition also. So, with disciplinary actions pretty well underhand, Mr. Miller had more time to devote to teachers’ as well as students’ needs, ideas, and suggestions in an open-minded fashion. 14 Principal

I Secretaries Keep Tabb Running Smoothly Contrary to what most people think, a secretary’s day consists of more than just taking shorthand, typing letters, and answering telephones, especially if they happen to be employed at Tabb High. Mrs. M. Fox, (TOP RIGHT) is secretary of Guidance and handles the registration of new students, transcripts and correspondence. As attendance secretary, Mrs. D. Burcher, (TOP LEFT) takes care of attendance, textbooks and is secretary to Mr. Markoff. Serving as bookkeeper and receptionist as well as secretary to Mr. Cherry are the responsibilities of Mrs. J. Allamby, (BOTTOM LEFT) secretary in the general office. Mrs. Barnes, (BOTTOM RIGHT) is secretary to Mr. Miller. Her duties include keeping the school rolls up to date, finances, and reports. 14 I 16 Secretaries
