I J. V. Spirit High, Despite Small Crowds The rookie junior varsity cheerleading squad got off to a slow start but soon proved to be an ambitious group. It often seemed useless cheering for a crowd of ten, sometimes less, but the appreciation showed by the team members kept spirits high and enthusiasm loud. In addition to supporting J.V. athletics, the girls attended and supported all varsity sports and school functions. They have helped the J.V. teams receive the recognition that they deserve. Varsity Cheerleaders Keep Spirit at a High The undying spirit and vitality of the varsity squad cheered the football team through an agonizing season and a basketball season equally frustrating. Jubilant in victory and reassuring in defeat, the varsity cheerleaders generated pep to keep the Tiger spirit high. During summer they attended camp to learn new chants and cheers and went door-to-door selling donuts for funds. New impact was added to pep rallies with comic routines by the varsity squad. Whether keeping up spirit at games or raising morale at pep rallies the varsity cheerleaders kept both team and spectator spirits at a high. 146 Varsity Cheerleaders
