On June 6, 1974 there was another first at Tabb High — the Class of ’74 held their class day program. Many unique performances highlighted the morning. Mike Melo and Marsha Thomas reminisced the class history from sophomore days. Senior A Cappella members sang and Senior Superlatives were awarded. Lynn Brooks and Lisa Kehrer read the Last Will and Testament, followed by singing performances by class members including an original song entitled Hanging Out Hanging In.’’ Dave Caldwell and Kim Smith predicted the future of many seniors. The mixed Locker Room Choir sang and a poem, Goodbye” was read. The newly written Alma Mater was introduced to the student body by Donna Newsome. Senior Trip Ixavin Tabb High Thursday evening. May 23rd were two bus loads of excited seniors. Their destiny — Six Flags Over Georgia. Friday morning they stopped at Lion Country Safari in Georgia and then on to the Hotel that afternoon. Friday evening they could stay at the hotel or go to see the Atlanta Braves play. Saturday it was off to Six Flags and a chance to ride the long- awaited Great American Scream Machine, (one of the largest roller coasters around!) Sunday meant back to 6 Flags, a quick stop in Underground Atlanta and a long trip home. The exhausted and flat broke” group arrived back at Tabb Monday at 6 a.m. All who went, including the 5 chaperones admit to having a fantastic trip. 96 Sr. Trip

June ’74 Marks Tabb’s First Graduation Happiness, sadness and nostalgia blended to create Tabb’s first graduation exercises. For some it was the end of their best years, for others it marked the beginning of a new and altogether different phase of life. Belena Skievaski, valedictorian and Lynn Childers, salutatorian gave encouraging speeches to their fellow class members. The class president, Emily McGuire gave appreciation gifts to the class sponsors and the three principals. Music was provided by the band and the A Cappella Choir. 98 Graduation
