MY: Lambert illustrates office duties to student assistant. Mrs. Shields takes a short break from a hectic day to read an enlightening message from an old close friend. Discerning deans uphold order with fair judgment DEANS working in the office that never stops buzzing , . . checking on the absentees . . . disciplining students when it becomes neces- sary . . . issuing blue slips . . . excusing students from class . .. interpreting RHS rules and regu- lations for confused students . . . listening to all the excuses . . . having a pencil in one hand and a phone in the other . . . talking things out with parents . . . trying to understand all the problems . . . shining the light for those that go astray . . . helping to keep students from dropping out running the night school having more things to do than time to do them helping to build character . . . teaching that there is more to school than waking up early each morn- ing making decisions that will benefit all. ,,ff,,mv'm'W , , K, W ' .,,WfWf' WMWWVVV' As Ralph Lacagnita signs in, Mr. Lambert reads his excuse for tardiness and issues him a class admittance slip.
