Editorial staff members are encouraged to experiment with various literary forms. They also gain experience in the mechanical phases of the publication, by assisting in actual production. The business staff learns tlie technique of selling and collecting advertisements. An innovation of the post year was the election of Marion Godshall, first woman editor of the Syracusan. Robert Genant is managing editor, and Harry Devlin is in charge of the art work. Senior editors include William Biesel, Stanley Forquhar, John Gill, and Robert Laurence.
