As the trees cast their shadows across the lawns and a breeze rustles through the leaves, they tell secrets of bygone days; and the person who listens well will learn their secrets . . . secrets collected as the swaying spectators watched the unsuspecting actors and actresses in preparation for a not too dis- tant future. Listen closely and perhaps you will learn some of the secret tales of the class of '65. Frequently, we felt that the task of completing twelve years of study would overpower us. Yet, as we slowly matured, each year brought us closer to our goal--an education. The scenes changed and so did our parts. We learned to value our leaders and followers by the quality of their performance; each is important in his own way Often, we escaped the gaiety of the crowd and found solace in the calmness of our minds. We supported our teams through the glory of victory and the pain of defeat. If we have played our parts well, the credit goes to those who never let us down. Soon, for the last time we will face this audience; the final curtain will fall; and we will take our last bows. The great drama in which the last four years of our lives have unfolded will be closed in one single night. Some of the actors, weary from the demanding schedule, are thankful that the end is near. But whether it is with quickness or with reluctant tread that we leave, we are, nevertheless, grateful to those who directed us in our first major roles. 2
