THE FACULTY The Senior Classes of 1954 wish to express our sincere appre- ciation to the faculty of Central High School for the help and guidance they have given us. During all our years at Central they have always been ready to extend a helping hand to any student, no matter what his problem was. We owe a great deal to them and so for the time and effort so patiently given to each one of us we wish to say thank you.

DEDICATION We, the Senior Class of 1954, wish to dedicate this yearbook, the Scarlet '54, to Clifford W. Pop Walsh, head of the Central High Music Department, who is retiring from the faculty this year. Pop, as he is known to most of us, has enabled many youngsters to become successes in the music world, with his constant assistance, enthusiasm, and encouragement. By so often displaying his warm smile and pleasant greeting, Pop made Central a much happier school. Never to be forgotten are the many excellent musical per- forma h d' ' ' nces e 1rected, arranged, and even performed in him- self, the finest being his Golden Anniversary Night Club Show staged last year.
