t Q3 . M i Basketball A large group of girls came out for basketball this year. More interest was shown in thegame than has been exhibited recently. After a few Weeks of intensive try-out Work the first and second teams were chosen and the regular practice began. Miss Hassinger's excellent. coaching was ,evident in the steadily increased improvement in the teamwork and other general features of the game. ' Owing to the late date of the organization of the team the girls did not play games with..other colleges, but played practice games with Mokane and Ashland High Schools. The student body proved their real school spirit in sending the team off each time. Interclass games were also played which caused a great deal of interest.. ' We will lose some of our good players for next year as they will graduate in June. Howeverfthe majority of the team are Juniors and they will have the added experience and training of this year's Work to guide them in their future games. ' seventy-eight
