i i McGregor, Beshears, M. Moore, Stockard, Connell, Fenimore, Guthrie. i Sexfezfe One quiet afternoon early in October the stillness was suddenly broken by weird sounds coming from the conservatory. XVhat could it be? Then silence again. Six times this mysterious performance was repeated. The sounds ranged from low, deep tones to high, shrill, and wavering notes. I could stand the suspense no longer, so I started around the back way to the studio, and cautiously looking in the Window l beheld six of my school- mates trying out for the Sextette. After faithful and persistent practice the Sextette sang in chapel, and who said they couldn't sing, anyway? They .are planning to go to jefferson City after the spring holidays Where their program will be broadcast. W ggpgp N jQSsX so-Uelzfy-liz-We

', 1 Trzo - n - 4 Connell, Stockard, Fenimore, MissvHilbush., TfVe are mighty proud of our Trio, and how the rest of us would like to be able to sing just half as well! ' Last fall Dean Botts and Mr, Stoy drove to Kennett, taking the Trio with them, where the latter sang at Presbyterial. Most favorable comments, in- deed, were made about the ability of the singers. They also gave a program at the high school The Trio does not plan to tour a part of the state this year but the college has greatly enjoyed and appreciated their talent to the fullest degree JMX seventy two i 1
