A. gives a jolly good swimming party for the new girls. 18-Opening sermon at Presbyterian church by Dr. Abbott. The Kiwanis Club takes us for a lovely drive in Fulton. 22--T he opening day of the hilarious Freshman Week. Poor Freshies! 27--Christian church gives an informal reception for the three colleges. October 7-We attend an informal reception at the Presbyterian church. 15-Pledge day for the three social sororities. 24-Student and Faculty Formal Reception+a big event of the college year. 27-Cheers for Westminster! A pep meeting before the big, game with Washington U. 31-Miss Wood engineers a realistic Hallowe'en spirit by means of a clever party. - November ' . 2-V-I-C-T-O-R-Y! S ynodical basketball team vs. Ashland. 5-The Y. W. C. A. gives another party. 21-The first number of the Artist -Course-a recital by Miss May Peterson. 24-A holiday and a big dinner made this Thanksgiving a red-letter day in Synodical. December 2-Our Faculty Recital displayed much talent. 6-Suspense reigns supreme in chapel until Mr. Stoy an- nounces that our Christmas holidays will begin the 16th. VV e weren't much excited-! ! ! I! . 7-Another Artist Series-a lecture by Lowell Thomas ' on his travels and experiences during the World War in the Orient. It was thoroughly enjoyed. 15-At 5 :OO o'clock the -Masquers presented The 'Cathe- dral Clock.
