s English paths direct flow of understanding Foreign languages and speech had one thing in common - indoctrinating the students with the essence of communication. The foreign lan- guages offered were French, Spanish, Latin, and German, a new course this year. Labs helped students to speak more fiuently and to compre- hend more readily, furthering the ties of under- standing. Sy1vania's speech and debate departments gave students the opportunity to use their minds by projecting their thoughts.
