Semor Class Wlth almost every minute fnlled wlth actlvntnes the sensor class barely found tlme to keep up their studles Begnnnung the year wrth a flnancual project the class co sponsored the annual Homecoming Dance honorlng the sensor queen and attendants January 24 marked the splash party for all sensors and guests Class meetlngs were held throughout the year to keep the sensors well rnformed of all projects These meetmgs were led by Ken Hall president and Sue Reed took over In hrs absence Roseann Steunwand recorded the mnnutes accurately and Carolyn Merce kept the flnancual records In order In March name cards and announcements were ordered and the future graduates were measured for their caps and gowns whsch marked the first year that the gurls wore white The boys chose dark green as their contrastrng color May 8 was the date of the sensor play followed closely by the pucnlc banquet and farewell dance gnven by the juniors the prom May I7 the alumnn receptnon senror trap baccalaureate and frnally commencement May 27 The Class flower was the carnatnon color green and whlte motto-Today we learn Tomorrow we lead The year wound up wrth a feellng by all sensors that they had engoyed belng a part of the l953 graduatnng class O s 1 ' v a v ' u 1 v u v , - 1 C.
