James C. lfain has endeared himself to the stu- dents, the faculty, and the community. He has established a reputation as a firm but fair administrator. He oversees the myriad of activities and handles the diversity of prob- lems that demand his attention with tact, fairness, and with an eye to the best possible course for each individual and for the entire school. His continual efforts to mold Sylvan into a better school each year have been one of the major reasons why it is recognized to be one of the finest public high schools in the state of Georgia. To assist him in the operation of the school, Mr. lfain has assembled an able staff. The secretaries, the bookkeeper, the nurse, the cafeteria managers, and the custodian all make signihcant contributions to the success of the school. Their contribution is more than just routine attention to a job. They are Willing to help with personal problems and lend a helping hand whenever it is needed. For their friendly help, patience, and understanding. they certainly rate a spe- cial place in our Carnival of Golden Memories. MRs.
