CLASS PROPHECY One day as we, two little nosy ground moles, were burrowing our way through the soft moist earth, we heard a ruffling noise above us-. Since our nature was being nosy we naturally went up to hear what was going on. Much to our surprise we found ourselves in the back yard of GLENN GOODMAN'S two million dollar home in the center of Texas. We heard Glenn and his wife talking about and getting ready for a get-together of the Senior Class of Sycamore High School, Sycamore, Ohio, of the year of nineteen hundred fifty-seven. It seemed that it would be a joyous time for all. - My friend and I were sitting there absorbing all the hustle and bustle when suddenly we felt the earth shake. Then there was a horrible noise and the worst screeching' of tires we ever heard. Out of a short, pedal-controlled Model A stepped GEORGE GILES with his wife and four children behind him. We overheard George was now a his- tory teacher at Sycamore. Pulling up behind George came two very smart looking girls. We heard Glenn intro- duce them as ROMA RIEDEL, living in Hollywood and doing very well in pictures, and ROSALIE SECOY, head nurse at the Get Well Hospital in Melmore, Ohio. The guests were arriving so fast by this time that we couldn't keep track of them all. The sun was getting pretty hot so we decided to go down and come up under the shade tree where there were quite a few guests visiting and talking over good times they had had at Sycamore. As we listened, we were very sorry to hear that JUDY WYSS couldn't make it. She was in Hollywood as head beautician for M-G -A motion pictures. She was working on Yul Bynner and Elvis Presley. They were starring together in a picture produced by Hollywood's greatest producer, RAY- MOND WILLIAMS. We heard Raymond mention the title, Sideburns vs Baldy . 'We found out that KEITH TSCHANEN and RONNIE VON BLON were co-owners and editors of The Daily Mis- take , the world's most burned newspaper. Listening on, we heard that there was a great scientist among them. The name mentioned was Professor WAYNE BURKS. His latest work had been trying to prove some laws in Physics not to be true. It was time to eat so all the guests left the shade tree and went over to a huge table where everyone sat down to eat. My friend and I had been enjoying ourselves immensely so we weren't going to let anything slip by our ears. Down we went and came up under one end of the table. We heard TENA KAY MOYER saying that she was teaching English and math at Carey, Ohio. She was also married and the mother of three children. Sitting beside Tena Kay were MIRIAM MARGRAF and SHIRLEY JUMP. Miss Margraf had become the head designer in an exclusive men's clothing shop in New York. Shirley had married and was serving as Miss Margraf's secretary. All the guests were enjoying their food when everyone heard a loud roaring sound above them. Down came a huge plane, piloted by the one and only ROBERT HOSTERMAN. Mr. Hosterman excused himself for being late. He said he had just flown around the world and had had a little engine trouble. His co-pilot, DONALD HOUDE- SHELL, was the owner of three huge airports just outside Chicago. Since my friend and I had pretty well covered this end of the table, we decided to move down a way. This we did. Here we found that DIANE BLOOM was teaching music and also composing it. She had just finished a tune that was really riding high, called False Love . We were very proud to hear that ELLEN MCCRACKEN was a missionary in India. We enjoyed ourselves very much in listening to her tell of her wonderful experiences. JR. OHL was telling everyone how he loved the wide-open spaces on a six hundred acre ranch owned by his boss, PAUL HUFFORD. Jr. said he liked working for Paul, who was married and had two children. He also men- tioned the fact that they had a little competition on the next ranch. This was a six hundred and twenty-five acre ranch owned by JUDY NIEBEL. My friend and I moved down to hear what Judy had to say. This wasn't much because she had just returned from a trip to the CORFMAN-HIATT Dental Office. Jane and Beverly had a new office set up right in the center of Dallas. They were really rolling in the teeth and money by the hundreds. The guests were now getting their dessert. Since we thought we had been nosy enough, we went back under- ground and went to sleep, hoping when we awoke, we could find another class reunion to listen in onl 16
