m'kc wikmtc The Flying Fish smoked their way to 3 in the State of Ohio, falling just short of arch-rival St. Xavier. They knew they were good when they started. It was just a matter of proving it to the state of Ohio. That's exactly what they did. The Flying Fish of Sycomore High School smoked through wave after wave to be the NO. 3 team in the state. Gary Kuhre was not just the run of the mill diver either. He ended up state diving champ. Craig Leonard put forth the effort to become most valuable swimmer. The Flying Fish finished with a 4-2 dual meet record, winning the An- derson, Princeton, and Mariemont Invitationals. Then, a win in the sectional. The two losses came in the District and State Cham- pionship. This is one Sycomore swim team that won't soon be for- gotten. il no Cooch Zoller looks on as the Fish fly (upper left). C. Leonord, J. Keller, S. Koimer, J. Bloebaum, ond D. Smith discuss the meet (above). Diver Todd Sherritt gets reody to lump (right). 30
