Classes Class Colors Purple and White Class Officers T. Ernest, Miss Adams, J. Lung- strom, V. Willke, R. Thompson Class Flower White Rose. Class Motto Remember the past, Live the present, Envision the future. Class of 1953 Dear Sycohi, How We have waited for this year! What fun it was giving our class play, The Curious Savage, preparing for our Homecoming Parade, leading our annual snake dance, and having the upper hand in many activities! At, the beginning of the year, the class elected these officers: Terry Ernest, pres- ident, Bob Thompson, vice-president, Jean Lungstrom, secretary, Virginia Willke, treasurer. Committee chairmen were selected as follows: Courtesy, Lil- lian Lungstrom, Cards and Announce- ments, Jane Ann Evans, Caps and Gowns, Marilyn Saathoff, Class Motto-Flower- Colors, Marlene Buettell, Social, Bonnie Haka and Joe Schmitt, Class Gift, Ger- ald Benson, Class Day, Dick Hagen. We have provided leadership through officers in G. A. A., Pep Club, F. H. A., F. F. A., Spartan Club, Leaves Staff , and Syco-Hi-Lites Staff. As in previous years, We seniors Were honored at the Junior-Senior Prom, held in the gym on May 9, 1953. This occasion will be recorded in memory books as one of the most entrancing evenings of the year. Our impressive Baccalaureate ser'.fi'e was held on Sunday, May 31, with the seniors defying tradition by all wearing blue robes. We held our Commencement exercises in the gymnasium on June 4, 1953. We departed remembering the past, living the present, and are now envisioning the future. With loving memories, THE CLASS OF 1953.
