The 1987-88 school year was one of change. Mr. Eldridge became our science teacher, replacing Mr. Markland, who retired. Mr. Eldridge coaches seventh grade boys basketball. Mrs. O'Neal re- signed at the end of first semester. We were fortunate to hire Mrs. Karen York to replace her. Mr. Michael DeWitt is our new foreign language teacher. He also sponsors Spanish and French clubs. Mr. DeWitt was memorable in his performance of Tevye’s song, “If I Were A Rich Man” at the fall talent show. Richard Eldridge teaches science class to a group of freshmen. Karen York teaches her Earth Science class in the chemistry room. Kim Turner, our new secretary, has done a remarkable job. Michael “La Bamba DeWitt Gloria Leap is a familiar sub who helps out in many ways. Teachers performed for the student body at different times during the year. Mr. DeWitt sang at the talent show and the Christmas program. At right: Mr. Kin- dle, Mr. Hewitt, Mr. Weales, and Mr. Daugherty form a quartet at the Christmas program. 12 FACULTY
