NNI, Q Ejxittewral ' bv' The Senior Class ot 1946 considers itselt lucky, tor it was the first peace-time graduating class since l94O. We didn't have to say goodbye to any ot our classmates, but instead greeted many veterans who returned to finish their high school education. Com- pleting their high school wort: and graduating with us were these looys whose high school careers were interrupted by the war: .lack Kinter. Robert Bowen, Robert Shallenherger, Angelo Russo, Edward Pe-reticlc, George Morrison, Jadlc Shultz, VVilliam T. Brown and George Daniels. Many ot our boys excelled in sports. Our toot- hall notaloles were Sadie VVilliams, Don Lucas, Paul Mareks, and Marty lvlellett. ln toaslcetloall, we cheered for Bot Kost, Phil lVlclVtanus, Sadie VVilliams, and Marty Mellelt. P Our class was only 160 strong,--all quality. though. ln journalism, .lean Louise Applequist. Marjorie Turocy and Jennie Mae Nlarshall showed their talents. The brains ot the class were many, the outstanding ones being Dick Stone, Tom Bergquist. Ben Jones, Walter Lewis, Carol Nunes, June Seder, and Earle Fischer. The radar brains ot the class were Hartman Feit and Allaert Keyes, who could do 'most anything with radio. Among the foremost loeauties ot this Senior Class were Louise McBride, Audrey Etheridge, and Marjorie Donnellan. Page Twain Umm ' THE CLASS ' i94lf6' Vfesx toxic' NS Qogixg- finer Art classes have given many ot our friends a chance to show their ability. Especially noted for their original art worlc were Mike Grana. Niclc Hloheczy, Ann Blazina, Bill Klalman, and Grace Johnson. Miriam Canter and Sally Kettles, whose interests are in acting and the theatre, kept us entertained lay participating in many school assemblies. Sally played the leading role in Kiss and Tell at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. On May 21, when we received our diplomas. we proudly fulfilled an amlzition of tour years, and now turn to college or to the business world. But we can always loot: back and remember with a smile our pleasant memories of Swissvale High School. 7 K y ,... ,. K Jil 7,-Tb ,, My 5 ix ' T xl avg, Q we , ti this-I .
