Becky Ray crowned Yucca Queen Chosen as the 1976 theme of the Yucca Coronation was Garden Paradise. The annual event is sponsored by the Yucca Gloriosa yearbook staff and is the only formal affair at SHS. The evening is highlighted by the presentation of club representatives, duchesses, princesses, and finally the crowning of the queen. The queen is chosen fromthe eight princesses who are nominated by popular vote from each class. Named as this year's queen is Becky Ray, a senior stu- dent. Becky has been active in drama the past four years and a twirler for three years, serving as head twirler this past year. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has been in the Yucca Coronation three years.
