Homecoming highlights season The 1975 Homecoming activities for SHS were no flop, even though a last minute attempt failed to win the game for the Mustangs in a 19-14 loss to Dunbar. The entire week was focused upon Homecoming with float building, decorating the school halls, a downtown pep rally, a bonfire, and a parade, along with many hours of pre- paration for pre-game and halftime activities. TOP LEFI' Varsity cheerleaders lead a chant during the downtown pep rally which was held on the courthouse square. The annual event preceded the bonfire which is sponsored by the Key Club each year. MIDDLE LEFI' Steve Reeves, Mark Walton, and Basil Arnold take part in one of the many skits presented by the speech and drama classes during the pep rally Fri- day afternoon before the Homecoming football game. TOP RIGHT Todd Cooper gives mascot Mitzi Williams a ride on Lit- tle Fled during the Homecoming football game. BOTTOM For the last time as a class, the seniors of 1976 gather on the gym floor and sing the Alma Mater at their last Homecoming pep rally. 75
