Members of FFA attend stock shows The FFA club, attended many contests. They took many of their members and animals. Some of the contests were held in San Antonio, Abilene, Sweetwater, and Houston. Library club attends meetings On November 15, the Library Club attended the district meeting in Big Spring. Larie Dunley of the Abilene Public Library spoke forthe meeting. A poster contest was held at the Convention and two Sweetwater members won first prize. The state meeting was held in Austin during February. In April, National Library Week was set. Some of the members did radio spots at KXOX for advertisement. Some out-of-town visitors were here during Library Week to make speeches, adding to the successful week. TOP Mrs. Zelma Hulse, librarian, is caught doing the last minute details on the Library Club car, before the Homecoming parade. MIDDLE LEFT The officers of the club are Mary Acuna, Ninfa Martinez, Alisa Alcala, and Sondra Alexander. They are shown with Mrs. Zelma Hulse and Mrs. Nelda Olvera. MIDDLE RIGHT At the Homecoming Parade the Club had a decorated car, driven by one of the members, and some of the other members rode in the car.
