During the mornings the library is open for those who forgot to do last night's homework, a science report, or for those just wanting to find a good book to read. CVAE is a program designed to prepare stu- dents for apprenticeship in various construction trades, such as carpen- try, masonry, cement finishing, electrical wiring, painting and plumb- ing. Students work for two hours each day and take four academic courses including math, English, science, and social studies. Students involved inthe Plan A pro- gram work in the resource room at different times during the day. The program allows students to work at their own level where they receive any special attention necessary. TOP Members of the CVAE class, taught by James Fullwood, paint a local resi- dence. Working staff kept busy by students lim 4 Q t For most students the lunch period provides a few minutes out of the day to relax, talk with friends, and eat. The lunchroom workers are responsible for cooking and sewing the students their meals. On different days throughout the year the lunchroom workers broke monotony in the familiar cafeteria by wearing bonnets and aprons in honor of the Bicenten- nial. The custodians work hard to see that the halls, cafeteria, and school grounds are kept clean. They also help teachers with locked doors, lost keys, and burned out light fixtures etc. . . TOP LEFI' Mrs. Helen Hoskins wipes ta- bles after the last lunch period. TOP RIGHT Mrs. Carmen Soto washes the lunch dishes.
