Students prepare for their future . -4 .l .H .q ful, m.-J The quarter system has not affected the business department except for the addition of the business law class. Business law teaches students crimi- nal law procedure. Due to a lack of in- terest in business machines and cleri- cal practice the two courses were combined. The new course, which consists of about fourteen students, is designed to teach business machine usage and proper business procedure. Typing and bookkeeping are two courses that have been offered in high school for many years, but this year, for the first time, typing is being offered to sophomores. TOP LEFT Robbie Hefner and Johnny Woner work to finish their bookkeeping problems before the bell rings. TOP RIGHT Tammy Taylor, Jill Ludlum, Bronda McCoy, and Mary Ann Reyes take timed writings to test their speed and ac- curacy in typing, MIDDLE RIGHT Adelina Castro, Grace Palacios, and Brenda Herring take dicta- tion during shorthand class. .ig . I. f . V i . Q ' l l l l l Future farmers learn, compete Ag students learn the basics of farming techniques. This year they have participated in livestock shows and judging contests. They have continued the tradition of selling gra- pefruit and oranges. Students in ag have also learned to work in the shop, where they weld, saw, build, along with many other things. Many of the students have farm animals, which they keep at the school ag barns.
