Founders ' Day Connect Only Connect were the words of Dean Fon- taine Belfond, repeated over and over during hen address at Opening Convocation. She focused on setting goals for the year and then striving to connect with those goals. President Harold B. White- man also spoke on the stability and yet continual advance- ment of the college over the years. It was his last Convoca- tion at Sweet Briar after 1 -4 years with the college. ! D Student Life

Springstep Singing Graduation 1 3S2 Spring is a time of mixed emotions. The excitement of graduation is present; yet the apprehension that goes along with it is also very real. At spring step-singing the songs are filled with nostalgia as seniors and un- derclassmen recall many fond memo- ries. Everyone begins to prepare for graduation. For the seniors it marks the end of their college career, but the beginning of a new life beyond the hal- lowed halls. For the underclassmen, it marlcs the loss of special friends, but the transition of moving up. Studenc Life
