Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Lea of Lynchburg, Va., have announced to friends here the engagement of their niece, Miss Lucille Bond, to Miles Stevens Pendleton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Pendleton of Montclair, N. J. Miss Bond was graduated from Sweet Briar College in 1934 and later received the degree of Master of Social Science from the College of William and Mary in 1935. She is now with the Social Service De- partment of St. Christopher ' s Chil- dren ' s Hospital in Philadelphia. Mr. Pendleton prepared for college at Phillips Andover Academy and was graduated from the Sheffield Scien- tific School of Yale University.
