I966 Bulldog Band I96 df' Connie Madden was chosen 1966-67 Band Sweetheart. The Bulldog band put forth everything they had this year. They deserve all the recognition they can get for making this a great year. They performed their marching routines well after the long hours of hard work. The band was bursting with spirit during football season. If it hadn't been for the band getting up early in the morning on Saturdays to attend the pep rallies to see the team off the spirit might not have been so enthusiastic. In April, the band went to San Antonio to march in the Fiesta Flambeaun to rep- resent Sweeny. They really had a blast while there! April 15, they went to contest and placed second in Sight Reading and third in Con- cert. 96 Nora Cutcher received the John Philip Sousa Award. BAND COUNCIL: President-Nora Cutcherj Sergeant at Arms -Chris Santner, Drum Major-Karen Tullos, Secretary-Cindy Mullenix, Vice President, Barbara Lindsey
