Many seniors return to gain additional experience in one of the three areas as part of their senior service. EMERGENCY ROOM SURGERY Approximately six weeks are spent in this department. While there, the students are taught modern surgical tech- niques and procedures by the O.R. instructor, Mrs. Houser. D iNTEN9IVE CARE Medical Intensive Care is a service which gives the senior special training in the care of the critically ill patient. The student learns the use of emergency equipment and its application in the Care Of these patients. Also they become ve1'Y adept at carrying out many complex prO- cedures.
