HOUSE MGTHERS House mothers When we drag to the dorm after a hard day's work, feeling tired, worn, and weary There's always a housemother sitting there Oh, how can they be so cheery? Miss Ladd has been with us for many a year, and is getting quite used to our pranks. She has helped us a lot in the library and we give her our heartfelt thanks. Mrs. Peterson, next on the list, has a keen ear for noise night and day You hear Girls, I'll have to report you! No wonder mothers get gray! Mrs. Johnson is our quiet mother, and checks us every night Except when she finds taped lights and greased knobs, then she locks our doors up tight. Mrs, I-Iansen is our newest mother, our jokes she still has to learn-- She's really too sweet to play tricks on except when her back she doth turn. Yes, our mothers are mighty fine, even though we put them through the mill. At night we try to tuck THEM in and give them each a headache pill. K.A.--'62
