TUDENT GOVER MENT... CABINET Well, the cafeteria closes at one o'clock so we'll have to hurry this meeting. This year, Cabinet saw verbal battles over standards, fund- raising, pennants, hats, dues, and the treasurer's arithmetic. Is there a motion for adjournment? Who's the next victim? Thus, continuedthe parade of gum- chewers past Standards Board. The problem this year was to make the students respect and participate in the stand- ards. The Great Question concerned the division of jurisdiction between students and faculty for offenses such as gum-chewing and classroom dis- turbance. With the new building and Cabinet's continued 1 e a d e r s h ip , standards functioned well. SEATED: A. Greer, secretary, R. Jarratt, president. STANDING: C. Smith, vice- president, B. Biddle, treasurer. 24
