Thurman, Treasurer. if Jftnggg 'Will the meeting please come to order, pleads President Craig Smith, pounding a make- shift gavel fa small metal case containing a roll of 35 mm, French filmj on the desk in room 216, As the various officers and committee chair- men rise to give their reports, we hear Treasurer John Thurman despairingly remark that 'Some representatives STILL haven'tturned inthe Student Association dues , and in the midst of another one of his salestalks, Ways and Means Committee Chairman John Long drawls, Ihave here some real cool buttons for us to sell if we want to make a lot of money. We can even choose between a wavy or a straight border! The only homeroom problem brought up typi- fies the many problems facing this year's Cabinet, because of the splitsession system.Janice Carroll, Junior High Cabinet representative brings up the issue of Senior High disturbances during Junior High Classes. After a lively discussion on this and other problems, the motion for adjournment is presented and carried with little objection. Although the novel functions of Cabinet may not be continued under normal conditions, they have provided an enlightening change from the perhaps too-well-established traditional proced- ures. -1-1-.
